Glossy aircraft exterior prepared for sale photography after a full detail
Selling an Aircraft · England-wide

Detailed before the photographs.

The listing photos and the first viewing decide what a buyer offers. We prepare the aircraft for both, timed to your shoot, anywhere in England.

The photographs are the first negotiation.

And they happen before anyone speaks to you.

A buyer builds their opinion of your aircraft from a set of photographs, long before they see it. If those photographs show exhaust staining down the fuselage and a tired cabin, the aircraft is already discounted in their head.

You cannot photograph your way out of it either. Good light makes a dirty aircraft look worse, not better - every swirl mark and every smear shows up in direct sun, which is exactly when the shoot happens.

It moves the number.

A buyer cannot easily judge how an aircraft has been maintained from a photograph. So they use what they can see as a proxy - and a well-kept exterior reads as a well-kept aircraft, fairly or otherwise.

The reverse is more expensive. Visible neglect invites a buyer to assume neglect elsewhere and to price that assumption into their offer, usually by far more than a detail would have cost.

There is also the walkaround. A prospective buyer runs a hand along the leading edge and looks into the wheel wells. A degreased belly and clean gear bays answer a question before it is asked.

Inside is where deals cool off. Marked leather, a stained carpet and a galley that smells of the last trip are what people remember from a viewing, and none of it is expensive to put right beforehand.

Some of it does have to be done in time. A spill left in a carpet becomes permanent, and at that point you are discussing a refurbishment allowance rather than showing a clean aircraft.

Which is the whole argument for doing this before the listing goes live rather than after the first viewing goes badly.

What the camera actually sees.

What a pre-sale detail covers.

More than a wash, and timed to your schedule rather than ours.

01

Exterior, corrected not just washed

Exhaust staining lifted, belly degreased and the paint brought back so it holds reflection in direct light - which is what a photographer is working with.

02

The details buyers check

Gear bays, wheel wells, leading edges and static ports. The places someone doing a walkaround puts their hand and their phone torch.

03

Interior reset

Leather deep cleaned and conditioned, carpets extracted, veneer and gloss trim brought back, galley and lavatory cleaned and sanitised.

04

Timed to the shoot

We work backwards from your photography or viewing date, because a detail two weeks early is a detail wasted if the aircraft flies in between.

Sequence matters more than budget.

The order that works is simple: decide to sell, detail the aircraft, then shoot it. Everything a broker publishes comes off that shoot, and it stays online for as long as the aircraft is on the market.

If the aircraft is going to a pre-purchase inspection, it is worth going in clean as well. An inspector working on a clean airframe finds what is genuinely there rather than reporting on grime.

And if it is coming out of storage, allow more time. Bonded dirt and oxidised paint take longer than a routine detail, and rushing that stage shows in the photographs.

An aircraft that photographs like it has been looked after.

01

Work timed to your date

We plan backwards from the shoot or the viewing so the aircraft is at its best on the day that matters, not a fortnight before.

02

Wherever it is parked

England-wide, including storage fields and maintenance bases. No need to reposition the aircraft to get it prepared.

03

A record of what was done

A dated photo report, which is also useful evidence of condition at the point of sale.
