Your aircraft are the shop window.
And a trial lesson is sold before the engine starts.
Someone books a trial flight, arrives excited, and walks out to an aircraft with a grey belly, a bug-covered windscreen and boot marks on the wing walk. That is not the impression you want to leave on your new students.
A school aircraft is the hardest-worked airframe on the field. Multiple sorties a day, a different pair of hands every hour, and circuit training that means a landing every few minutes.
Circuit training means constant landings, and every one puts brake dust on the wheels and gear. On a school fleet that accumulates in days rather than months.
Bug strike is relentless. Training happens low and slow in summer, exactly where the insects are, so leading edges and windscreens need attention weekly rather than seasonally.
Every hour brings new hands. Fingerprints on the perspex, headset grease on the trim, boot marks on the wing walk and mud on the carpet - none of it from one careless person, all of it from twenty ordinary ones.
Perspex is the expensive risk. Students clean windscreens with whatever is on the shelf, and the wrong cleaner crazes acrylic permanently. Replacing a windscreen costs more than a year of proper cleaning.
And on a piston fleet the leaded avgas belly staining builds far faster than on an aircraft flown at weekends, because the exhaust is running all day.
The upshot is that a training fleet needs frequent light cleaning rather than occasional deep cleaning. That is cheaper, and it works better.
How a fleet arrangement works.
Three steps, and then it runs without you chasing it.
Tell us the size of the fleet
How many aircraft you plan to have cleaned regularly, what types they are and where they are based.
We give you the investment figure
What it takes to keep the fleet presentable, agreed up front so it goes into the budget rather than being argued at every committee meeting.
We come to your airfield on a schedule
The whole fleet cleaned in one visit, on a recurring basis, with a cleaning report for each aircraft showing exactly what was covered.
Xperior has been nothing short of exceptional for our PC12 fleet. Flexibility, availability, quality of work when compared with the price is a no-brainer. Cannot recommend them enough.
